Anchor bolts are specialized fasteners that are specifically designed for securely attaching objects to concrete surfaces. The type of anchor bolt used will depend on the material being fastened. For instance, while loose bolts are suitable for concrete, they cannot be employed on a hollow brick wall. Concrete anchor bolts are available in different materials and finishes, including stainless steel, zinc-plated, and galvanized steel.

To use anchor bolts, you typically need to drill a hole into the concrete using a power drill with a masonry bit. Once the hole is prepared, you screw on the washer at the top of the bolt, insert it into the drilled hole, and hammer it in until it reaches the bottom. Finally, tighten the nut until the bolt is securely in place. At this point, the washer can be removed.
